My name is Dorota Orlof aka dorkastrong. I am a Visual Designer with ten years of experience in independent practice. My strength lies in visual storytelling in various forms. I enjoy working with narrative as well as with data-based productions. For the commissions, I work with projects aligned with my values. I implement my skills in e.g. science communication, press illustration, or explainer videos.

I am a graduate of Graphic Design Master Programm at Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, and a Fab Academy alumni at Fab Academy Barcelona. Following the latest I am certified to teach Fab Academy as a novice instructor. I am also an alumni of The Hive Collaborative Residency in Aix-en-Provence, where I co-founded Telenatura Lab. Since 2013, as an independent designer I work for and with individuals and institutions representing various sectors: science, businesses, culture, education, and journalism.

I’m currently based in Helsinki and working internationally. I speak English, German, Polish, a bit of Swedish, and French. Et voilà!
